Errol Wilson

Director of Black Male

College Explorers Program

Greetings and humble salutations from the highest of seven hills! I am pleased to welcome parents, students, Black Male College Explorers Alumni, former staff, and friends to our website as we celebrate 30 years of making an impactful difference in the lives of males of color in Florida.

From 1990 until now, the Black Male College Explorers Program has encouraged middle and high school Black males to graduate from high school, pursue post-secondary education, and to achieve academic as well as personal success. Through the vision of Dr. Frederick S. Humphries and Mr. Thomas J. Mitchell, Florida A&M University led the way in addressing the educational needs of males of color in the state of Florida.

In partnership with the state of Florida, Florida A&M University, Bethune-Cookman University, Edward Waters College and Florida Memorial University work collaboratively to provide educational enhancement and services that narrow the achievement gap for young Black males.
